It is a strange but truly authentic feeling that I am both as a professor (in GIS and trail-related studies) and as a student (in theology) here, at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. We are all teachers in what we know and students in what we still have to learn... But maybe most authentically, I am here as a researcher and a colleague, and someone who takes life seriously with a playful attitude. In fact, I even consider my sick leave and healing journey in the last weeks a truly integral part of my internship in theology and spirituality...

Furcsa de mélyen autentikus érzés, hogy egyszerre vagyok itt professzorként (mint térinformatikus és turistaút-szakértő) és diákként (mint teológus), a testnevelés- és sporttudományi karon. Mindnyájan tanárok vagyunk mindabban amit tudunk és tanulók mindabban, amit még el kell sajátítanunk... De talán a leghitelesebb, ha azt mondom, mint kutató és kolléga vagyok itt, és olyasvalaki, aki az életet komolyan veszi, egyúttal játékos hozzáállással. Sőt, még az elmúlt hetek betegszabadságát és gyógyulási útját is a teológiai és lelkiségi szakmai gyakorlatom valódi, szerves részének tekintem...

Es una sensación extraña, pero muy auténtica, estar aquí tanto como profesor (de SIG y estudios relacionados con senderos) como estudiante (de teología), en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte. Todos somos maestros en lo que sabemos y estudiantes en lo que aún nos queda por aprender… Pero quizás, de forma más auténtica, estoy aquí como investigador y colega, y como alguien que se toma la vida en serio con una actitud lúdica. De hecho, considero mi baja por enfermedad y el proceso de sanación de las últimas semanas como una parte integral de mi aprendizaje teológico y espiritual...

Thank you, Prof. Pablo Vidal González for having me here, and for the ERASMUS+ program through the Sapientia College in Budapest, for funding. We have been envisioning this visit and exchange for multiple years already but it has become the truly right time, as it organically fits into the line of us founding the Trailology Collective in Ottawa last lear - a global network of trail scholars and practitioners -, my new affiliation at the University of Pannonia in Veszprém related to GIS and potentially trail studies in the future, as well as the writing of my MA thesis in theology about nature hiking and spirituality.

Köszönöm Pablo Vidal González professzornak hogy itt lehetek, és a budapesti Sapientia Főiskola ERASMUS+ ösztöndíjprogramjának a finanszírozást. Ezt a látogatást és tapasztalatcserét már több éve tervezgettük, de most jött el igazán az ideje, hiszen szervesen illeszkedik abba a vonalba, hogy tavaly Ottawában megalapítottuk Trailology Collective globális kutatói hálózatot; hogy idéntől a Pannon Egyetemen is dolgozom térinformatikában és a jövőben akár a turistautak témájában is; valamint hogy most írom a telológiai mesterdolgozatomat a természetjárás és lelkiség kapcsolatáról.

Llevamos varios años imaginando esta visita e intercambio, pero ahora ha llegado el momento idóneo, ya que encaja de forma natural con la fundación del Trailology Collective en Ottawa el año pasado —una red global de académicos y profesionales de senderos—, mi nueva afiliación a la Universidad de Pannonia en Veszprém relacionada con SIG y, potencialmente, con estudios de senderos en el futuro, así como con la redacción de mi tesis de máster en teología sobre senderismo en la naturaleza y espiritualidad.
